Katarina Berg
Chief Human Resources Officer, Spotify

Since joining Spotify in 2013, Katarina has led the company’s Human Resources department, as the music streaming platform has transformed from a thriving startup into a mature international company. Alongside heading up Spotify's global HR team, she also leads the company's Global Workplace Services and Strategy Operations teams. Before Spotify, Katarina held high-profile HR roles in various multinational companies, such as Preem, Swedbank, Kanal 5 (SBS Broadcasting) and 3 (Hi3G Access).As well as catering to the needs of a diverse workforce within a nimble and ever-changing organisation, Katarina is also focused on building teams and reinventing processes to establish an environment where creative and passionate people can be their very best, have fun anddevelop great careers. Outside of work, Katarina loves to spend time in Stockholm’s archipelago. When she is not eating her way into new cultures or cooking for friends and family, she daydreams about the days when she travelled the world whitewater rafting.

Moderator and BBC Journalist

After a decade as a BBC journalist and radio presenter in London, Maddy relocated to Stockholm in 2014. Since then, she’s reported extensively on Nordic innovation, tech and lifestyle trends, and is a regular contributor to BBC Worklife, the BBC's digital platform for stories about getting ahead in our rapidly changing world. Maddy has also written for international media such as HuffPost, The Sunday Times and The Telegraph, and reported for high profile broadcasters including Sky News, Monocle Radio and NPR.Listed as one of the 100 most impactful tech profiles in the Nordics by Slush and The Nordic Web in 2017, Maddy has become a popular host for startup and business events across the region.
